I became a parent governor at Church Hill Infants in February 2018, becoming a member of the Finance Committee before being elected as Vice-Chair in October 2018. My daughter attends the school which has allowed me to witness first-hand how the school is providing her with excellent foundations as an individual and academically.
As a governor, I hope to support the school in maintaining and developing this education for future generations of pupils. As a deputy head teacher in a city primary school, I believe I can further support the school using my experience of working within the education sector. |

Having previously served on the governing body and as a recent invitee of the meetings, I understand the crucial part the governing body play in school leadership and management. My current role as Head teacher means that I am involved in the day to day running of the school as well as strategic decision making and planning. I wish to work with the governors to achieve our shared vision for the school and the children we serve. |

I worked at Church Hill Infant School for three years. Both my children have attended the school and have fond memories of their time here. My specific remit on the governing body is Reading. Through the standards committee I look at how reading is embedded across the school and work with the curriculum team to ensure that the standard of reading at our school continues to improve. |
