Using Images of Children

Sometimes, as part of everyday school activities, we may take photographs of the children, or he/she may be videoed or recorded.  These images will be used to enhance children’s learning, e.g. displays, booklets and videos, or maybe used in our school prospectus, website or other printed publications that we produce.

Occasionally, our school may be visited by the media, when photographs or film footage may be taken, for example, of an important or interesting event, or during the visit to school of someone important.  Pupils often appear in these images which may appear in local or national newspapers, or on televised news programmes.

To comply with the Data Protection Act, we will ask parents or legal guardians to complete a permission’s form as part of their childs’ enrolment process. These permissions must be received before we can photograph or make any recordings of your child.
